People in the film industry are well known for their philanthropic activities and
concern for others. The principals of CinemaShares.com invite you to join us in
our community service projects. We participate weekly in projects serving the less
fortunate in a variety of activities. You may join us in these projects or suggest
others that we can post here to allow your fellow shareholders to join you. We do
not solicit donations for these various activities, but rather your personal time and energy.
We work weekly with incarcerated young men
in this L. A. County Youth correctional facility.
One hundred homeless residents get two hot meals every day at the "Sam-O-Shell"
Shelter in Santa Monica. We participate in feeding them the dinner meal on Mondays.
Some of our officers work as weekly volunteers preparing fresh homemade burritos
that are distributed to the homeless in the Skid Row section of downtown Los Angeles.
Our volunteers help Family Assistance Involving the Homeless by picking up food
from restaurants and grocery stores that donate their surplus food.
After pickup we transport the donated food to churches, shelters, and
feeding programs around town.
There is a tremendous need in the Skid Row Section of downtown Los Angeles
for volunteers that would like to assist in the various feeding programs
for the homeless.
